Final post for Mrs. Barnard's Blogging class
I really don't want this to be the end of this blog just because the class is ending. So I have decided that I’m going to continue my blog from my home. I love the idea of blogging and put up things that you like that you want others to see. The class itself was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot. I really don’t want the class to end. The people that were in it were pretty cool and they were nice to me when I was the new kid. That wasn’t a very fun experience. And I had the best teacher ever. She helped me whenever I need it. I really enjoy this blogging thing. It’s kind of like facebook when you think about it. So I’m going to keep doing it and hopefully I’ll get people that will follow it. And when I put pictures of my art work on there I want my followers to post comments of it on it. So thank you Mrs. Barnard for introducing me to something so fun and enjoyable.
I just put this on my post because you have to have it as part of the final. Plus its related to my blog because it is really great animation.

Tir Nan Og
The first time that I watched this I thought that it was really sad. Its a very motional film but I also like it because of that. Not many people make films that are animated emotional in that way. Its different, and Im all about the different things. I really like the way it was made as well. Most of the ones that I end up putting on here are the ones that look realistic but in a cartoon-ish way. And they look 3-D. This one looks 3-D but the people and the birds look like a person had drawn them and did one of those techniques where the make them over and have them on paper and put the papers to make a flip movie. Its kind of hard to explain. But thiss one is different from the other ones on here. If you watch my other ones you would get what I mean. But I love this animation. It really good. The person that directed it is Fursy Teyssier. They did a great job. :)
Forest to Mysteries
This is one of my paintings that I have created. I decided to put it on here because there isn't many of my art pieces on here. Plus this is one of my very best artworks that I have made. I love it. I spent a very big amount of time on it. I spent almost two months on it. But I pretty much worked on it every day that I could. I got a good grade on it. It was an A but it could have been better. I think that I should have planned it out more better. I kind of just painted things on there. I'm not very good at the whole planning process. And in some places it is very sloppy. It could have been way more improved if I planned it out and took more time on it. I think the thing that would need the most work would be the transition in between the room and the forest. The trees that are the actual doorway could have been a lot more better I think. The other trees in my opinion look really good. I think that I did a really good job on them. My favorite part would be the mushrooms on the right at the bottom of the painting. But other than that this is one of my favorite artworks that I have done.
Joker in art form
This is a picture of the Joker by Dan Lacey. There are different people that play the Joker. In this one it is Heath Ledger. Im a really big Joker fan myself, so I know a bit about him. And Ive seen many movies where he is in them with Batman. Im also a big fan of Batman. Heath Ledger is my favorite actor that has portrayed the Joker. Movies are not the onlt thing that the Joker has been in. He has alos been in comic books where he has battled the Joker. He is my favorite super villian and Batman is my favorite superhero. Bat man is very much better that Superman. Just sayin'. But I wont get into that right now because we are talking about the Joker. The joker is crazy and pyshco. He is very unpredictable and he just kills people for the fun of it mostly. I just love him because of how different he is than other super villians. The Joker and the Batman are so much different than any other rivals. They are because they dont have supper powers. I mean Superman's arch nemisis is Lex Luthor and Luthor doesn't have powers but Syupeerman does. I think Joker and Batman are the only ones without super powers. But the artist really captures the Joker and Heath Ledger in this picture. I love it! I would change the background color to it though. I would make is a dark color like black or really dark purple or blue.

Little Big Planet 2
I put this on my blog because I cannot wait to buy it. I love this game! I have the first one, I havent beat it yet but I intend to. It relates to art because it is created by people and I always consider videogames as art. Its art but in a computer version. Videogames are just the same as animations but you can control what the animations do instead of just watching it. I love this game because of the creativity of it. Its a good game for pretty much anybody. Little kids can play it because it has no violence that can scare kids. Its good for grown people because they can have fun with it. Plus it keeps you on your toes ( you have to use your reflexes alot, its a game where you have to move quickly). It looks really cute and colorful. Its so different from the games that we play today. It get frustrating somtimes when you cant do somthing in it but other than that it really fun. I love how the animators made this with the characters themselves. Even though they look really simple, they must havr been really hard to make. Like, to get the proportions and things like that good. This is an awesome way to express ones creativity and artistic ablitys. I wouldnt change a thing in the game. I cant wait to buy it!!

Converse
This is put on here today because first of all, its about converse. Converse are my most favorite shoes ever. I could barely make it through the day without wearing them at least once. I lve how it looks like there was alot of work put into it. And there probably was. I wouldnt doubt that one bit. Theres no way that someone could do that quickly and that precise. I think that the artist could improve by coloring it. Or by makin a copy of it and then coloring that copy of the picture. if it was all rainbow-ish that would be really sweet.
Oktapodi
I love love love this video! I think it is so so cool! I would love to see this in a actual movie. Its got such a great story line to it. i think its a really creative story. It would be great for kids. I wouldnt change anything. I like how it doesnt have that many words that are said in the whole thing. It gives more of a cartoonish childish vibe to it. The ones that do talk dont really have as much of the creativeness to them. I mean somtimes if you find a good one with voices the voices really work well. But if you find one that doesnt have voices it gets your imagination going. And when your watching it without voices and some good music that fits the movie then you wonder what they would say. After your done watcing it you still wonder what they would say when they did this or that. It gets you wondering.

Swimming fish
Well I put this picture on here because is really really cool. Its probably one of my favorite sculptures that I have seen. I love everything about it. If I had to change anything I would put fake floaty fish in the water. I think that that would be really creative. I mean there is already fish in the water, but if there was somthing in those bags then it would really be cool. I also love that the water color is darker at the bottom then it gets lighter as it goes up to the top of the sculpture. But my favorite part is the bags themselvs. Its so creative and uniqe. It makes me think of an aquarium. And things like that. Plus the artist is only in high school so it would be really interesting to see their art whe the get into college.
Get out
This video was nominated best animated short film in 2009. I just watched it and I loved it. I love short animated films. I love this one because its really creative. I also like it because its in a different language. It makes it more interesting because you have to pay attention to it to know whats going on. I wouldnt change anything. I think it has a really great story line. at first I thought it was just about a crazy person afraid of doors, but then you get to the end of it and its really about a baby not wanting to come out of its mommy. I think thats really funny. I didn't really get the title when I was actually watching it, but after it was over I can really understand why its called that. I really enjoyed watching this one.

Sebastian's Voodoo
I chose to put this one one my blog first of all, because it is an animated film. Plus its a really good animated film. I love it. It reminds me of the movie 9. I want to be one of those people that make those movies. I would love to see this in an actual full length movie. It makes me think of somthing that the artist Tim Burton would do. He is one of those artist that does the creepy stuff like the nightmare before christmas and Edward Scissorhands. I cant wait to see more work by this artist.

Just swimming along...
I love this picture for many many reasons. One of the first reasons that I love it is because its a turtle! I freaking love turtles! And its such a creative turtle because its in a cartoon version. I think that the composition of it is really well. Its clear that the main focal point of it is the turtle The overall theme is great too. I love it. It makes me want to have a turtle like this. Another reason that I love it is that its not realistic, bit its still really clear that its underwater and its an awesome turtle. I love it. I wish that I came up with something like this. It looks like the turtle off of finding nemo. I love that movie just beccause there is turtles in it. I think this turtle is really really cute!!
Bathtime! :)
I put this on here today because I am starting to see a lot of octopus drawings and jewelry with animals on them. I also have been doing a lot of drawing of octopuses lately. I think that they are a really cool thing to draw and you cant really mess up drawing one. They basically are just squiggly lines. So I found this one and I thought it was pretty neat. I think the way that the artist did it was that they first, took a picture of the bathroom, then they used photoshop or paint on the computer. I myself, have never used photoshop. I usually like to do the more hands on stuff like painting and drawing. Using photoshop can turn artwork out really good but your not really don't much besides clicking some things and typing some letters. In my opinion hands on is better. But back to the octopus, I think the artist did a good job even if its on the computer. I would have drawn it but that's just me. I like the theme of it though. It makes me think back when I was a kid and when I used to play in the bathtub. I'm sure all of us used to pretend we were in the ocean at some point in our childhoods.

Van Gogh
I chose this painting because its comical and because its a really good painting. Its comical because in this painting Van Gogh is painted in a sort of cartoonish way. He also is trying to listen to an ipod or some sort of musical device. But of course he can't, he can't listen to any music in one ear because he doesnt have one. Plus those types of music wasnt around in his time. So in many ways its comical. But its also serious at the same time. This artist clearly took his time on the painting. There is a great deal of detail gone into this painting. I also like it just because Van Gogh was one of my favorite artists of his time. I think that it is a really creative way to portray another artist, even one so famous as this one. So when I look at this painting its just very funny to me and I love looking at it.

Cubic Castle of the Cardboard King
I put this on there today because its so creative. When we were kids most of us at some point wanted a fort. And some kids actually found cardboard and made them. I know this because my brother and I made them out of cardboard. I can't be the only one to do this!! But when we made our forts and clubs did you go this extreme? Most likely not!! You might have imagined most of it because thats what we do when were little, we use our imaginations. I think this is childish and imaginative. Thats why I love it. I think it is one of the best ways to make our imaginations come to life. I mean if a little kid saw this, they would have a hay day inside it. I mean you probably wouldnt see the kid all day. Plus the adults could look at it and mabey it would remind them if their childhoods and the fun times that came with them . So whatever age a person is, they could be enertained by this awesome sculpture. When I look at this work of art it makes me think back on my childhood and how imaginative we really were. But now its here in real life! Its just amazing to me. The only thing that I would change would be the color on the inside. If they made it really colorful instead of this regular brown, it would really be somthing. It already is somthing, I just think that it could be improved if there was some spot of color on the interior.

Doodles
http://vihart.com/doodling/
This isn’t exactly a picture for me to critique but if you follow the link and go to this website you will see that the person that does this art is awesome and amazing. You will want to try it yourself some of the things that he does. I already have. If you do try them and they don’t come out as good as his that’s ok because he is clearly one of the people that do this over and over again to get it right. Something like this takes a tone of practice to do. And you have to record it every time because if you do it perfectly and you’re not recording then you have to do it again till you get it just right. I wouldn’t do anything to change these artworks. I really enjoy watching the movies and I really hope that you enjoy them too. Watching this guy do these stars makes me think of a spirograph. But he does it without the tool. I guess if you really practice you don’t need it.

Infinite
I put this one on here because I think that it is very detailed and realistic. It’s called photorealism. It’s just amazing how good people can portray real life in a painting. I can paint but I can’t paint that good. It’s just shocking to me to see someone that good at art. I wish I could paint that good. It has awesome details. If I were to change it I would make it bigger. Or have that artist do another piece like it but have a whole body doing something. It would just be amazing to see this artist at work. I just wonder how long something like this would take someone to make. I love it. The whole composition is awesome. When I see it it makes me think of one of those mirrors that you can see forever in.

Struggles
I put this on my blog because at one point in our childhood lives we all played with legos. But did you play with them like this guy did? I dont think so... :) But anyway the artists name is Nathan Sawaya. He has done numorus peices such as these three above. These sculptures inspire me to play with legos and see what crazy things I cant come up with on my own. I really am a big fan of Sawaya. Hes one of my favorite artists because of his creativity. Even when he is using the same materials such as legos. Many, many artists can use the same materials and same mediums, but their work is different each time they make it. They dont have a reoccuring theme. Sawaya does that. He makes people that seem to be struggling in some way. I love all of his sculptures. If I could make somthing like that I would.

Scribbling away...
In this picture a guy named Tony Orrico is doing what people normaly dont do with just their hands. They would us a thing called a spirograph. But he does it with just his hands. In my opinion I think that he is very creative. If I could do this I would. I think that he should use different colors on some of them. That would probably be the only thing that would make it better. Its not really one of my favorites but its good enough to put on my blog. lol. I would like to see what he could do when it would come to a surreal portrait. Or just a regular one for that matter. I think he could do really well on the hair part of the portrait. But overall this is a good example of artwork.

Where the wild things are
I chose to put this put this picture on my blog because I love it. I love everything about it. I think the artist did an exceptional job with it. Plus I am a really big fan of where the wild things are. The book is my favorite just as much as the movie is. Also this painting is so much alike that you get the same feel when you look at it as if you were looking at the book itself. He did an awesome capturing the wildness of it! :)

infinite knowledge within my grasp
This is another one of my favorites because I love to read books. It also is very abstract even though it is real. Its hard to belive that it is real, but it is. Its probably one of the best abstract photos that I've ever seen. Even though the artist that took this phot may not be the artist that had created this monumental library it is still amazing ans so creative. The composition itself is o.k. but i think if the artist photoshoped it or made it more creative in some way that it may be better in my opinion. But other than that it is still a magificent peice of art. I would really like to visit this place or a place like it.
