Cubic Castle of the Cardboard King

prepared-dc-motors-cardboard-boxes-sound-sculptures-by-zimoun

I put this on there today because its so creative. When we were kids most of us at some point wanted a fort. And some kids actually found cardboard and made them. I know this because my brother and I made them out of cardboard. I can't be the only one to do this!! But when we made our forts and clubs did you go this extreme? Most likely not!! You might have imagined most of it because thats what we do when were little, we use our imaginations. I think this is childish and  imaginative. Thats why I love it. I think it is one of the best ways to make our imaginations come to life. I mean if a little kid saw this, they would have a hay day inside it. I mean you probably wouldnt see the kid all day. Plus the adults could look at it and mabey it would remind them if their childhoods and the fun times that came with them . So whatever age a person is, they could be enertained by this awesome sculpture. When I look at this work of art it makes me think back on my childhood and how imaginative we really were. But now its here in real life! Its just amazing to me. The only thing that I would change would be the color on the inside. If they made it really colorful instead of this regular brown, it would really be somthing. It already is somthing, I just think that it could be improved if there was some spot of color on the interior.

Doodles

http://vihart.com/doodling/

This isn’t exactly a picture for me to critique but if you follow the link and go to this website you will see that the person that does this art is awesome and amazing. You will want to try it yourself some of the things that he does. I already have. If you do try them and they don’t come out as good as his that’s ok because he is clearly one of the people that do this over and over again to get it right. Something like this takes a tone of practice to do. And you have to record it every time because if you do it perfectly and you’re not recording then you have to do it again till you get it just right. I wouldn’t do anything to change these artworks. I really enjoy watching the movies and I really hope that you enjoy them too. Watching this guy do these stars makes me think of a spirograph. But he does it without the tool. I guess if you really practice you don’t need it.

Infinite

I put this one on here because I think that it is very detailed and realistic. It’s called photorealism. It’s just amazing how good people can portray real life in a painting. I can paint but I can’t paint that good. It’s just shocking to me to see someone that good at art. I wish I could paint that good. It has awesome details. If I were to change it I would make it bigger. Or have that artist do another piece like it but have a whole body doing something. It would just be amazing to see this artist at work. I just wonder how long something like this would take someone to make. I love it. The whole composition is awesome. When I see it it makes me think of one of those mirrors that you can see forever in.

''The Magical Finds'': LEGO Artwork

''The Magical Finds'': LEGO Artwork

Struggles

I put this on my blog because at one point in our childhood lives we all played with legos. But did you play with them like this guy did? I dont think so... :) But anyway the artists name is Nathan Sawaya. He has done numorus peices such as these three above. These sculptures inspire me to play with legos and see what crazy things I cant come up with on my own. I really am a big fan of Sawaya. Hes one of my favorite artists because of his creativity. Even when he is using the same materials such as legos. Many, many artists can use the same materials and same mediums, but their work is different each time they make it. They dont have a reoccuring theme. Sawaya does that. He makes people that seem to be struggling in some way. I love all of his sculptures. If I could make somthing like that I would.

Scribbling away...

Performance drawings by artist dancer Tony Orrico

In this picture a guy named Tony Orrico is doing what people normaly dont do with just their hands. They would us a thing called a spirograph. But he does it with just his hands. In my opinion I think that he is very creative. If I could do this I would. I think that he should use different colors on some of them. That would probably be the only thing that would make it better. Its not really one of my favorites but its good enough to put on my blog. lol. I would like to see what he could do when it would come to a surreal portrait. Or just a regular one for that matter. I think he could do really well on the hair part of the portrait. But overall this is a good example of artwork.

Where the wild things are

I chose to put this put this picture on my blog because I love it. I love everything about it. I think the artist did an exceptional job with it. Plus I am a really big fan of where the wild things are. The book is my favorite just as much as the movie is. Also this painting is so much alike that you get the same feel when you look at it as if you were looking at the book itself. He did an awesome capturing the wildness of it! :)

infinite knowledge within my grasp

This is another one of my favorites because I love to read books. It also is very abstract even though it is real. Its hard to belive that it is real, but it is. Its probably one of the best abstract photos that I've ever seen. Even though the artist that took this phot may not be the artist that had created this monumental library it is still amazing ans so creative. The composition itself is o.k. but i think if the artist photoshoped it or made it more creative in some way that it may be better in my opinion. But other than that it is still a magificent peice of art. I would really like to visit this place or a place like it.

Sunset soon forgotten

This is a picture of a sunset (obviously). But it happens to be one of my favorite photos that I have had the pleasure of seeing.  I love it so much because of the colors that the artist has used. I’m pretty sure that these colors are the normal colors and that the artist just sharpened them. If you sharpen colors most of the time it just makes them brighter and a lot clearer. In my opinion, as an artist myself, I really think this is good. I mean it can’t really get any better. I wouldn’t change a thing on it. I think of Ireland when I look at it. It also is one of those pictures that could put you in a good mood.
